Gene Ricks (he/him) is a film student based in Northern Virginia. He is a senior at George Mason University majoring in film with a concentration in post-production. Gene has collaborated on numerous student films as editor, director of photography, sound mixer, and grip. His short documentary Silver Studio (2025) tells the story of a local metalsmith and the challenges of running a small business. Gene’s work has been screened at the Mason Film Festival. Gene has also produced a series of client testimonial videos for AIM Human Performance, a personal training studio based in Lake Ridge, VA. In his spare time, Gene loves traveling, playing video games, and watching baseball.
